Jacob G. Park, DDS, clinical professor in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry, was elected president of the Academy of Dentistry International (ADI) by the organization’s board of regents this February.
Dr. Park begins his two-year term on the ADI’s executive council which leads a fellowship of more than 3,000 members. The Academy is devoted to advancing dentistry throughout the world and elevating dental standards by providing continuing education opportunities and resources. In an interview with the American Dental Association’s ADA News, Dr. Park reveals that his goal is “to lead the academy in the right direction to heal unthinkable trauma from COVID-19 and create a positive environment.” The entire interview can be found on ADA.org. The Academy of Dentistry International was founded in 1974 by Albert Wasserman, DDS, the Academy’s first president. The School of Dentistry’s Ramon J. Baez, DDS, MPH, retired professor in the former Departments of General Dentistry and Community Dentistry, also served as an ADI president from 2014 to 2016.Clinical Professor, Department of Comprehensive Dentistry
